SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
225 ILCS 458/5-5
Amend the Real Estate Appraiser Licensing Act of 2000. Provides an exemption from the licensure requirement for any salaried employee of the federal government or any agency of state government of a political subdivision therefore who performs eminent domain appraisals or valuation services or to any contractual employee thereof who performs valuation waivers under the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, as amended or the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition for Federal and Federally0Assisted Programs regulations.

ICAP is opposing this bill; our current statue states if you are doing appraisals, you need to be licensed.
